About the Job

The Lead Technician will oversee the activities of the support team and provide high-level technical support to the team ensuring service and support exceed client expectations. The Lead Tech must have the enthusiasm, desire, capability and the capacity to learn new technologies.  An engaged and positive attitude is a must. The environment can be fast paced requiring the ability to manage well in interrupt mode, be proactive and lead by example.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in diverse medium business technology services
  • Minimum 3 years supervisory experience
  • Related certifications
  • 4 year related college degree or equivalent experience

Position to include but not limited to:

  • Client account management
  • Oversee activities of all technology specialists (currently 4)
  • Assist Project Manager
  • Supervise the Dispatcher and work service requests
  • Provide in-house and on-site technical support

Necessary Skills and Qualifications:

  • Able to self-manage
  • Expertise and demonstrated experience with the Microsoft product line in addition to working knowledge of other vendor lines
  • Expertise with cloud based technologies, VOIP, Windows 10, Server 2012, Office 2013, Office 365, WAN, LAN, routers, firewalls, DNS, security, VPN, terminal services, remote support, backup and restore, managed services, monitoring, vendor management – NEW technologies a must
  • Understand emerging technologies and how these technologies can be beneficially adapted
  • Ability to build and maintain working relationships with clients and fellow team members
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with the non-technical and technical
  • Ability to teach and to train, including creation of video
  • Excellent diagnostic skills, understanding of and ability to use support tools, techniques; maintain or create system documentation as required
  • Ability to make recommendations and decisions

  • On-call hours required, rotating basis
